I often tell my classes that the body is stronger than we realize – it’s the mind that gets in our way. So often we find ourselves focused on what we think we CAN’T do, that we don’t take the time to find out what we CAN do.
The video below is truly an amazing story of mind over matter, strength powered by determination, and the healing power of exercise. If this man can not only lose 140 lbs., but teach himself to walk again – and quite honestly, do some yoga poses I was never able to master (Headstands? Seriously? Incredible.) – surely anyone can muster a little extra strength to run that extra mile, lift that extra 5 lbs. or carve 15 minutes out of their busy schedule for a little bit of exercise.
Thanks to my mom for sharing … I was almost in tears by about 3:30.
