Spinning Playlist – March 7, 2013

We’ve made it to March – so what’s up with the snowstorm we had yesterday (though, granted, from my window we saw an awful lot of flakes, but not anything sticking to the ground)? Here’s hoping spring’s around the corner – it is supposed to be in the 60s this weekend here in the D.C. area – but until then, we had another great class to keep us warm and sweaty.

That said, here’s tonight’s playlist:

Warm-up (Start Flat Road; Resistance 3-4 on a Scale of 10)
Closer – Tegan and Sara

Building Block #1 (Start Resistance 5, Build to 9)
Ocean Avenue – Yellowcard
Part of Me – Katy Perry
Forever Now – Ne-Yo
So What – Pink
Inside of You – Hoobastank

Building Block #2 (Start Resistance 4-5, Build to 8.5+)
Sweet Nothing – Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch
Where Have You Been – Rihanna
Wild Ones – Flo Rida ft. Sia
Domino – Jessie J
Uprising – Muse

Building Block #3 (Start Resistance 5, Build to 7+)
Turn Me On – David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj
Feel This Moment – Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera
Numb – Usher
Desert Rose – Sting

Cooldown
Stay – Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko
Heartbeat Slowing Down – All-American Rejects

Have a great rest of your week and enjoy your weekend! And a note for those of you who are, like myself, already keeping up with the college football season that is still (unfortunately) six months away: times have been set for a few of the big ACC opening weekend games. You can look forward to two HUGE match-ups on August 31: Virginia Tech vs. Alabama at 5:30 p.m., followed by my Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia in Death Valley at 8 p.m. … I don’t want to wish away my spring and summer, but football is definitely way too far away!

  1. Great class as usual!! That Sting song is like “Eye of the Tiger” you have no choice other than to push as hard as you can……all the way to the end!!

  2. Love the playlist, thanks so much! I look forward to giving it a try soon! I’ll be posting a few playlists/workouts of my own at the end of the month. Stop by and let me know what you think. Thanks for another great post!
